12. How can Arkansas prevent mass shootings?
Kevin Vornheder (Libertarian)
Enforce existing regulations to prevent violent criminals from buying guns.

Work with mental health professionals to determine which diagnoses present an absolute hazard to the patient and others, and create a system to include that data in background checks to prevent persons with those specific diagnoses from buying guns.

Hold all sellers responsible for ensuring they don't sell a gun to a person who isn't allowed to buy one, and make that responsibility easy to manage by streamlining the background check process.
Scott Flippo (Republican)

13. What specific legislation will you work to enact?
Kevin Vornheder (Libertarian)
I am far more interested in repealing legislation than enacting it. Most aspects of a person's life simply do not require the government's opinion -- much less its permission. I am especially focused on eliminating unnecessary licenses and fees that make it harder for people to employ themselves or start small businesses, because I believe doing so will mean more jobs and more opportunity for Arkansans. People can accomplish more and better things without the government's interference than with it.
Scott Flippo (Republican)
