1. Abortion: Arkansas’ current law that prohibits abortion except to save the life of the mother in a medical emergency.

I oppose Arkansas’ current abortion law because I believe women deserve the right to make decisions about their own bodies and their own healthcare. Government should not be in the exam room. My focus is on expanding access to healthcare, supporting mothers, and ensuring families have real choices not fewer.
2. Abortion: Establishing a permanent funding stream to provide state-funded grants to charities that provide women with alternatives to abortion.

I support providing women with real options and real support, but I do not believe the state should outsource healthcare and crisis services to loosely regulated charities. If we are going to invest public dollars, it should be in comprehensive healthcare, mental health services, childcare, and economic stability programs that meet women where they are.
3. Education: The Arkansas LEARNS Act Educational Freedom Accounts that lets families use public dollars to pay for an education at a private school or homeschool.

Oppose
I oppose this policy because it weakens public education systems instead of strengthening them. I believe in improving the quality of every school not creating a system where opportunity depends on zip code, income, or a family’s ability to navigate alternatives.
4. Drugs: Legalizing recreational marijuana in Arkansas.

I support legalizing recreational marijuana in Arkansas with strong regulation, age restrictions, and taxation. If we are going to have marijuana in our state, it should be legal, controlled, and generating revenue that can be reinvested into education, healthcare, and community development instead of fueling the underground economy.
5. Tech: Requiring major social media websites to verify all users’ ages in order to protect children on their platforms.

I support age verification requirements for social media platforms, but I also believe protection is a shared responsibility between parents, platforms, and policy. Technology alone cannot replace parenting, and algorithms will continue to shape what children see. We need smart safeguards, strong parental tools, and accountability from tech companies not the illusion that one rule solves everything.
6. Gambling: Letting casinos in Arkansas conduct gambling online.

I support allowing online gambling only if it is paired with strong, publicly accessible addiction prevention, intervention, and recovery resources. If the state is going to profit from gambling, it also has a responsibility to protect people from the harm it can cause.
7. Elections: Current ballot initiative efforts to change the Arkansas Constitution to make it easier for private individuals or entities to place measures on the ballot for a statewide vote.

I believe the ballot initiative process should be accessible to everyday Arkansans, but not so loose that it can be manipulated by outside money or special interests. The system does need improvement, especially to reduce unnecessary barriers for citizens, but any changes must protect transparency, local control, and the integrity of our constitution. Reform should empower people, not create opportunities for abuse.
8. Guns: Confiscation of firearms from citizens that the government deem a danger to themselves or others, otherwise known as red flag laws.

I support red flag laws because they are about preventing tragedy while respecting due process. Responsible gun ownership and community safety are not in conflict. When there are clear warning signs that someone is a danger to themselves or others, we should have a legal, accountable way to intervene before lives are lost.
9. Marriage: The U.S. Supreme Court’s 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges decision that legalized same-sex marriage.

I support the Obergefell decision because I do not believe government should tell people who they can love or who they can build a family with. I may have personal beliefs, but my role as a public servant is to protect equal rights and treat people with dignity.
