1. Abortion: Arkansas’ current law that prohibits abortion except to save the life of the mother in a medical emergency.
Brent Montgomery (Republican)
Support
We must protect the sanctity of life.
Kristain Thompson (Republican)
Support
I support Arkansas's law because it protects the unborn while allowing doctors to act in true medical emergencies to save a mother's life. We should always value life, support women in crisis, and ensure compassionate care when it is needed most.
2. Abortion: Establishing a permanent funding stream to provide state-funded grants to charities that provide women with alternatives to abortion.
Brent Montgomery (Republican)
Support
We should be pro-life through and through. That includes providing assistance to those in need to ensure the healthy birth and continued life of the next generation.
Kristain Thompson (Republican)
Support
I support creating a permanent funding stream for charities that give women real alternatives to abortion. These organi-zations provide counseling, medical care, housing, adoption services, and parenting support that help women choose life and build a stable future for their families. By investing in community-based and faith-based groups, Arkansas can reduce the demand for abortion while offering compassion-ate, practical help to women in crisis.

7. Elections: Current ballot initiative efforts to change the Arkansas Constitution to make it easier for private individuals or entities to place measures on the ballot for a statewide vote.
Brent Montgomery (Republican)

Our current law already gives Arkansas citizens the ability to place measures on the ballot, and I fully believe in and support the citizens’ right to do so. However, I also believe we need safeguards in place to protect our Constitution from out-of-state, big-money, liberal interest groups who try to buy their way onto our ballot.

I strongly support Arkansas citizens having their voices heard, but I am firmly opposed to outside interest groups using their money and influence to override the will of our people.
Kristain Thompson (Republican)
