For some students, this will be public school, for others private school, and for others homeschool. Education must be focused on individual student needs and how best to meet those needs. Parents should be empowered to direct their children's education because they understand their children's needs and are attuned to their child's unique abilities and developmental stages.

Changes to our state constitution should go through a vetted and rigorous process. Unfortunately over the years, our state constitution has often been put up for sale to the highest bidder, and out of state corporations have poured in millions of dollars to write issues into our state constitution that the original framers would have never envisioned or intended. It is not easy to amend the U.S. Constitution, and likewise our state constitution should be protected in the same way while still protecting the right of the people of the state to make changes to it when they deem it necessary to do so.
