As a father of three wonderful boys, I could not imagine life without them. I am 100% Pro-Life and will never waiver on this issue. Protecting the rights of the unborn and supporting life is my top priority. Abortion should only be considered as an absolute last option to save the mother’s life.
2. Abortion: Establishing a permanent funding stream to provide state-funded grants to charities that provide women with alternatives to abortion.
Steven Baird (Republican)
Oppose
Government should not provide funds to any charities no matter what the cause.

Cody Rogers (Republican)

I would fully support state-funded grants to ensure the safety of God’s children.
3. Education: The Arkansas LEARNS Act Educational Freedom Accounts that lets families use public dollars to pay for an education at a private school or homeschool.
Steven Baird (Republican)

Hopefully, poor performing schools will be closed and private institutions that provide meaningful instruction will take their place.

Parents know their child better than anyone and should have the ability to choose where their child learns and who they learn from. This should be encouraged, and they should receive the same support from the state as public school children do.

There are many dangers that lurk inside of social media preying on our youth and their innocence and with technology being so accessible we need these platforms to help with protecting our children from some of those dangers.
6. Gambling: Letting casinos in Arkansas conduct gambling online.
Steven Baird (Republican)
Undecided
Sports wagering since the outcomes cannot be pre-determined, would be ok, but other games that could be programmed/manipulated by the casino should not be allowed.
Hunter Rivett (Republican)

Cody Rogers (Republican)

Gambling can lead to unhealthy addictions, creating societal problems. It also opens the door to the risk of fraud and scams from the lack of regulation.
7. Elections: Current ballot initiative efforts to change the Arkansas Constitution to make it easier for private individuals or entities to place measures on the ballot for a statewide vote.
Steven Baird (Republican)
Oppose
Stringent requirements to get items on the ballot are necessary to keep the state from becoming victims of special interests.
Hunter Rivett (Republican)

Cody Rogers (Republican)

I support people's constitutional right to petition the government, but our charter document should be slow to change as our founding fathers intended and should be done transparently without fraud.
8. Guns: Confiscation of firearms from citizens that the government deem a danger to themselves or others, otherwise known as red flag laws.
Steven Baird (Republican)
Oppose
Shall not be infringed.
Hunter Rivett (Republican)

Cody Rogers (Republican)

I will never support the confiscation of firearms from law abiding citizens. Our founding fathers understood that the only way to sustain a true democracy was for citizens to have the ability to rise up against corrupt governments that try to take our liberties and freedom away. I own many guns that I use for sport, hunting, and for protecting my family’s wellbeing, and I will not give up that right.
9. Marriage: The U.S. Supreme Court’s 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges decision that legalized same-sex marriage.
Steven Baird (Republican)
Oppose
Marriage is a religious institution.
Hunter Rivett (Republican)

I am fully opposed to same-sex marriage. The Bible clearly outlines that marriage is a union before God of one man and one woman, symbolizing the union of Christ and the Church.
