1. Abortion: Arkansas’ current law that prohibits abortion except to save the life of the mother in a medical emergency.

Previous programs providing alternatives to abortion were rarely successful and were used as an excuse for abortion being illegal while also increasing the general tax burden of Arkansans. The results did not justify the cost. If a solid program were put forth to me that did not have these issues, I would support it.

3. Education: The Arkansas LEARNS Act Educational Freedom Accounts that lets families use public dollars to pay for an education at a private school or homeschool.
4. Drugs: Legalizing recreational marijuana in Arkansas.
5. Tech: Requiring major social media websites to verify all users’ ages in order to protect children on their platforms.

While I support the idea of protecting our children from the horrors of the internet, I have yet to see an effective implementation of age restriction on a website. Although I would be interested if a plan was created that was easy for websites to implement while being effective at protecting Arkansan children.

6. Gambling: Letting casinos in Arkansas conduct gambling online.
7. Elections: Current ballot initiative efforts to change the Arkansas Constitution to make it easier for private individuals or entities to place measures on the ballot for a statewide vote.
8. Guns: Confiscation of firearms from citizens that the government deem a danger to themselves or others, otherwise known as red flag laws.

Protecting its citizens from aggressive individuals is, in my opinion, one of the important responsibilities of a government. I believe that it is also important for there to be a public paper trail containing the exact reason the individual was deemed a danger to themselves or others, and an option of appeal should be easily available to them to prevent wrongful confiscations.
