We should do more to eliminate as many abortions as possible in our state and country.

I support "freedom of association," between both employers and employees in 99% of circumstances. However, in this case the government has grossly overreacted to a virus that only affects a very small portion of the population, mostly older & immunocompromised individuals. Government should have never shutdown the U.S. economy & instead allowed individuals to choose their own way of dealing with COVID without government mandates/ intervention.

Alcohol is legal & is actually very damaging to the body compared to marijuana, which has few negative side effects if taken in forms other than smoking. Of course any substance that a human consumes, including food, can be abused. I personally know individuals that have benefited from the medicinal properties of marijuana to help terminate seizures, in lieu of pain pills to reduce chronic pain & other conditions. Employers can still drug test individuals for employment. Laws will still exist regarding age to purchase & regarding operating vehicles/ machinery while using that or any other substance, etc.

Basic economic theory demonstrates that when firms have to compete for customers, it leads to lower prices, higher quality goods and services, greater variety, and more innovation. I believe that competition will help improve the public education system and the individual should have greater control of where their tax dollars are spent.

CRT isn't a core subject that should be offered to children on the grade school level. It should be offered at the post secondary education level through colleges, universities, or trade schools where the student can voluntarily enroll in it if that is the course of study they want to pursue.

I've served as election commissioner overseeing elections at the county level. I'm undecided without knowing how that could be implemented in cases where a notary would be scarce or unavailable. There is a reason that they are absentee ballots, whether overseas military or a nursing home individual. This is an interesting concept and should be further explored.

I believe that marriage is a sacred union where two become one. Good marriages are the bedrock of strong societies, for they are the foundations of strong families. The institutions marrying the individuals should stress this prior to performing the marriage. I don't believe the state should interfere in an individuals choice to get a divorce though. I believe the church should provide counseling to individuals seeking help within their marriages to help avoid divorces. Divorce rates are way to high in our country.
