Special Election House District 44 – Tuesday, June 2, 2026
Representative Stan Berry passed away on March 23, 2026. He was serving his seventh term in the Arkansas House. A special election was held to fill his seat for the remainder of the term and the next two-year term. Four candidates filed to succeed the late Rep. Berry. The Special Primary Election will took place on June 2. Candidate Bill Teeter received the most votes but did not reach the 50% threshold. There will be a runoff special election between Mr. Teeter and Nikki Phillips on June 30, 2026.
